Via Del Lago is a home suitable for families, small groups including school groups and overseas guests looking to enjoy all Taupo has to offer.
Sorry we CAN NOT accommodate Stag or Hen parties.
Located up a right of way with very little road noise you will find our wonderful home. From the end of the drive you will find views of the lake and a short walk down the street will have you on Lake Taupo's waterfront. Taupo township is within reasonable walking distance or a short car ride if you prefer.
Through a gate and up a few steps will lead you to the main house. Our home welcomes you into one of two living spaces. On entry you will come into the open plan kitchen well equipped for large groups, dining space seating 6 with 4 additional chairs, and first lounge with a gas fire to keep you warm on those cooler nights. A smart TV is also within this space for you to enjoy. Leading off the dining area is a ranch slider opening up to the large back deck. With an outdoor dining table and chairs along with a gas BBQ, memories are often created out here. There is also a heated outdoor shower around the corner great for rinsing off and warming up on cooler days after a dip in the lake.
The open plan living space then follows through to a second lounge space that can be shut off by glass panel doors. Large bifold doors from this lounge open onto another deck that looks out to our pirate ship play space. Down to its own wing of the house you will find the master bedroom with ensuite. Along the hall leading from the kitchen area are three bedrooms and a bathroom with shower, toilet and bath.
The large rumpus room down the stairs from the second lounge is lovely and warm when the small fire is lit. Firewood is provided should you decide to use it. Please note there is no child safety gate on the stairs leading to the rumpus. In this space is also a washing machine and dryer for your use.
Mostly double glazed, insulated and warm, yet well ventilated for summer months you should never find yourself two hot or two cold. Continuous hot water via a gas unit is also a great asset when you have a large amount of people running water.
The back part of our section is fully fenced and suitable for animals on request. The front half is lovely and flat, great for kicking a ball around. This area can also accommodate tents with prior permission. Outside the front end of the home is also an amazing Pirate ship play structure for Children to enjoy. A slide, various swings, fireman's pole and hut allow imaginations to run wild when playing. Supervision is required by adults and visitors must assume all responsibility for usage.
Bedrooms:
Master suite has a super king bed and ensuite, this room also has an aircon/heat pump.
Three rooms off the main kitchen hall are as follows: Green room with a queen bed, Blue room a double bed, Bunk room with two sets of single bunks. There is in this space at the end of the hall another aircon/heat pump. Porta cot available on request.
Rumpus downstairs has a queen bed, Single bed and pull out trundle along with 6 foam mattresses.
When making a booking we will send you a form to tick off what beds you will use during your stay so we can make sure it is ready for when you arrive.
Broadband 4g wifi is unlimited.
